DSA

UG's statement on the DSA.

The Digital Services Act (DSA) regulates the obligations of digital services that act as intermediaries in their role of connecting consumers with goods, services, and content. This includes online marketplaces such as Ultimate Guitar, among others. The DSA gives better protection to users and to fundamental rights online, establishes a powerful transparency and accountability framework for online platforms and provides a single, uniform framework across the European Union (EU).

Information on active monthly users as of 31 December 2023 – less than 45 million.

The Digital Services Act requires online platforms to publish information on the average monthly active recipients of the service in the EU at least every 6 months. We have calculated the average monthly active recipients for UG in the EU over the previous 6 months and determined that it is below the 45 million user threshold. This estimate is required to be published under the DSA and should not be used for any other purpose.
