lol, this shit can't be hard to understand you stupid pussys lol.........it's a great "lesson" though...thanks.....and for the ***ers who don't understand....think of it like this. you hold your guitar in front of you, so that the neck is up (1st fret starts from the up ok?) then watch this, then you'll get it.....cuz it's like that,

C for instance is

0 3 2 0 1 0 right ?

so the thickest string, you don't hold down, the one after (the A string if you didn't know) you hold down your ring finger on the third fret, and middle finger on the second fret then let the string after be free of touch, the hold down your index finger on the first fret on the B string and then let the thinest string be free from touch too....

now you got the C chord down.......get it ? just read again if not.....

power chords are also known as 5 chords, since they consist of only the root note and the 5th. And the letter name is your bass note. ex: power chord on the fifth fret, low E string= A5. on the 4th fret, low E string: G#/Ab5. Get it?? and learn the notes on the fretboard btw.

Yeah pretty much, but x in this case just means you don't play it. It only needs to be muted if it's on any of the following strings(ADGB) and would get in the way of a smooth strum. This is overcame by resting a nearby finger slightly on the string that needs to be muted and consequently makes no sound when strummed. Everything else you stated is correct.

If you are playing an "A" Chord, you need not play the low E string, 'coz it will mean that you are playing an E chord instead of an A....

Therefore, it should be,

A {x 0 2 2 2 0}

where x means don't play that string or mute it..

This is great. Though some of the notations for chords are a little confusing, it's SO useful as a chord identifier it's unreal. Though I also use Powertab's chord identifier.

Slightly let you ring finger touch the a string so it doesn't ring out, I would use my pinkie to hold down the 3 or g, but maybe ring finger would be more comfortable to you.

Also I think someone asked G# is 466544 G#m which is really common, because a lot of songs are in the key of B, anyway G#m is 466444
