This album (and yes I actually mean the vinyl album) had a MAJOR impact on me. I was 13 when it came out and still remember the feeling of the high that rockers are gonna conquer the world! Man, it really seems to me that new music is lacking as far as connecting like this music did. It probably is just me though. Anyway, R.I.P Kevin and step aside cause ROCKERS STILL HAVE THE RIGHT AWAY!! End of story.

I got the tape at a garage sale 2 years ago, Slick Black Cadillac is my favorite Quiet Riot song

I wonder what it would've been like had Randy Rhoades never left...

corny generic metal. Twisted Sister is slightly less corny.

Les Paul Ell :
This album is amazing. I started by getting Quiet Riot I and II with Randy, so I kinda knew what this would be like since I knew Kevin's voice. When I actually bought this album I was shocked at how amazing it was, all the way through.

I recon Thunderbird is my favourite song on the album. Kevin really goes for that one. I like things like the vocals during the guitar solo at about 2:42. Little things like that.

I'm glad he left. Rhoads' work with Ozzy was much greater i think.

Don't mean bust everyone's bubble...BUT...this whole interview is a farce...

Not many people now this from the 80's Hollywood scene, but for ability reasons, Rawn Takas recorded the guitars for the Mental Health, NOT Carlos Cavazo.

How do I know...I've been in Rawn's house and have seen the Gold Records and royalty checks on his wall.

He was paid $40,000 for his work and to not take any writing credits. The rest of the band pocketed $10,000 each. The solos and songs were "dumbed" down, because he knew Cavazo would have to play it.

Good try...but Sorry Carlos!

I agree as well. Randy MADE Ozzy's band what it was. Early Quiet Riot was too poppy too.

Sorry...but it's the truth. No offense to Carlos, but at the time he was no where even remotely close to being a recording artist, much less pulling off Randy's songs. The band was still under contract and needed a game plan, so they brought in Rawn for the Mental Health sessions. You may ask, then why wasn't Rawn Randy's replacement instead of Carlos?...well...because Rawn stood 6'5" tall, weighed over 300lbs, and he looked like a pan-handler straight out of the Yukon Territory...In the 80's...LOOKS were everything. It didn't matter if you had Vai-Like chops!

It amazes me that quiet riot couldnt get a record lable on the strip till 82. they wrote really good stuff and with debrows voice and Rhoads guitar skills its hard to belive they didnt want them... if they did get a record label i dont know if rhoads would be as famous as he is... Ozzy's guitarists that came from X-bands Such as Rhoads and Lee acceled because ozzy encourages them to write what they wanted to write... Rhoads work with QR was great but listen to Mr. Crowleys solo. its so well developed compared to lauighing gas. Im not dissing either i love them both but quiet riot held rhoads back while Ozzy gave him wings. And look at lee... Ratt didnt have as great a solo as bark at the moon when they had lee... Ozzy encouraged them to write to the best of thier abilitys and its safe to say that they both got as famous as they are with the help of ozzy...

It's all good Loop. In my 41 years of age I have NO reason to make something up. I just found this interview and Carlos' answers amuzing.

As a kid...I played the crap outta this album!
